Emesa is looking for a talented, passionate and experienced Microsoft System Engineer to join our IT Support team and help bringing our Microsoft Platform (Azure, Office 365) and processes to the next level.

The IT & Development department

Our IT & Development department consistent of 50 engineers from all over the world. We work in small teams which we call cells. Each team contains 3-4 people and is led by a Cell Captain (Scrum Master). Every team is responsible for a specific component or multiple components within our IT landscape.

What you will be doing?

  • As a Microsoft System engineer you will make that the Microsoft stack and domain services are fully up and running and properly configured. You will be responsible for the IT Office automation infrastructure On-Prem and Microsoft Azure cloud. 
  • You will be maintaining physical and virtual servers, troubleshoot issues and supporting end-users; 
  • You will be installing workstations, servers and other peripherals;
  • You are completely at home building advanced scripts in PowerShell and service quality oriented;
  • You will have a key role to improve the Office IT landscape based on hybrid Azure/On-Prem infrastructure and work with experienced experts to develop and share knowledge;
  • You will take into account possible IT security risks and evaluate security pitfalls in each project or configuration you touch; 
  • You will be able to come up with technical requirements yourself in collaboration with other teams, 3rd party vendors and suppliers;
  • You will discuss solutions and challenges with your and other IT cells;
  • You will be able to explain why a solution is the right solution and not only apply what is so called “best practice”;
  • You will execute and document changes according to Agile and ITIL methodology;

How will you will be doing this?

By joining us you will become a member of IT Support team, that takes care of our IT Office automation infrastructure On-prem and in Microsoft Azure Cloud. Other members of your team also have a background in Windows administration and networking.

On a daily basis you are going to work together with other IT Engineers (network, storage , VoIP) supporting our internal users, meeting ambitious deadlines and delivering projects. 

What is needed for this?

  • Bachelor level degree in Computer Science (equivalent experience can substitute this); 

  • You are strongly self-motivated, and believe that 'ownership' and 'responsibility' are not just the buzzwords; 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position an preferably in an international company;

  • Minimum of 7 years experience of experience with Windows administration in an enterprise environment

  • Solid experience with Microsoft Cloud, Office365 , Exchangeand Sharepoint;

  • Experience with SSL/ Certificate Authorities

  • Experience of Windows10, Windows Server 2016

  • Excellent understanding of Powershell

  • Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VoIP, WIFI);

  • Knowlegde of Linux and Apple/Mac.

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes;

  • Fluent in English; written and verbally;

  • Capable of defining new solutions/processes, based on business and technical requirements.

  • Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical co-workers or stakeholders.
